- At the half: Iona leads 35-27
- Iona's gotta feel pretty good. They barely shot 50% from the field and turned the ball well over 10 times, yet they're somehow winning the game. Unbelievable.
- On the way to the locker room, Coach Cooley had words (ehh.. more like yells) with the official that lead to a technical foul. To quote Ron Burgundy, "Wow. Things really escalated quickly."
- As if Iona's not already riding high, a FU block leads to a Harris lay-in that falls in (literally) at the buzzer
- FU's holding for last shot, but Shake gets blocked.
- Alley-oop to Devin Clarke adds insult to injury - giving the Gaels a 33-27 lead with 31.1 on the clock. Cooley throws his jacket back to campus. At least he's still got that tie on.
- Cooley's red tie is nice. I like it.
- FU starts a little full court pressure.
- A block foul sends Herbie to the line, who hits both shots to end Iona's scoring streak. 31-27 Gaels.
- Mike Harris drills a wide-open three to keep the Gaels' momentum going. Iona 31-25
- Herbie misses a pull-up jumper with the shot clock winding down.
- Rodriguez gets a wide-open look off a blown coverage/great play to give Iona a 28-25 lead.
- Mamadou comes in for Shake to give him a breather.
- Herbie hits one-of-two on the other end, Stags down by one @ 26-25
- A quick turnover from the Stags on offense leads to an Iona fast break, which leads to an offensive rebound from Milan Prodanovic that goes in and the foul. He hits the foul shot and gives the Gaels their first lead of the game at 26-24.
- Clarke hits two from the charity stripe after a questionable foul call on A.J., who checks out to avoid further foul trouble.
- Peanut Johnson hits both shots to give Fairfield some breathing room. 24-21 Stags.
