The slide continues...

A season ago, first-year head coach Joe Frager rode senior guard Sabra Wrice and a talented returning roster to a stunning start to the season; the Stags won seven of the team's first eight games and the transition to Frager seemed transparent. 

What a difference a  year makes. 

Last night, the Stags dropped their second consecutive game (and third in the team's last four) to Mount St. Mary's, 66-59. Fairfield's record currently stands at 4-5; through nine games last season, Fairfield held a 6-3 record. Baendu Lowenthal totaled 23 points in the loss. Here's a link to the Connecticut Post's game story from Emmitsburg. 

It's still awfully early to draw any judgments, but it is clear that the post-Wrice growing pains are certainly beginning to show.
