Softball faced off against Rider University yesterday in an away doubleheader.
The girls started off strong, scoring six runs in the second inning alone. Julia Jacoby '08, Erin Frank '08 and Riannon Thomas '08 led the team to an outstanding 10-0 victory.
Once again in game two however, the girls could not keep up the pressure. Rider turned up the heat in the sixth and the seventh and won the game, 4-3.
The girls return on Sunday at home against Georgetown at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
