The Fairfield softball team split today's double-header with Yale, winning game one 8-5 but losing game two, 5-2.
Quality pitching by senior Cagney Ringnalda and big hits up and down the lineup powered the Stags to victory in game one.
The second game got out of hand early, as Yale jumped in front with a four-run first inning. The Stags scratched out a run in the fourth and another in the seventh before falling.
