Finally, the five game losing streak is history. And thankfully for the Stags, they didn't become the first team all year to lose to lowly Iona, who fell apart in overtime to drop to 0-16 on the year and 0-6 in the MAAC.
The Stags go to 4-15 and 2-5 in the league.
After Milan Prodanovic scored to put the Gaels on top 68-66, Mike Van Schiack drained a three to give the Stags a lead. They didn't trail for the rest of OT, and opened up a 10 point lead with 29 seconds left.
The daggers in Iona's heart were back-to-back threes by Herbie Allen and Jonathan Han that opened up a 75-69 lead with 2:22 left.
