WHAT TO WATCH FOR
STRONG GAEL FROM THE SOUTH: Even though Iona is still winless in conference play and on the season, one cannot discount the squad’s competitiveness. When the Gaels last played the Stags on Jan. 19th, they lost after forcing the game into overtime. Iona outshot Fairfield and had its fair share of the lead throughout the game. Look for the Gaels to battle this one out to the end as well.
GETTING IN TOUCH WITH ‘UNCLE MO’: Look for Fairfield to build off its huge win last Friday against a strong Siena Saints team. The Stags must continue to keep turnovers to a minimum and to provide spurts on offense. When Fairfield strings together multiple scoring drives throughout the game, it is a force to be reckoned with.
