Behind some sharp shooting from the outside, the Stags have taken a narrow lead at the half. Fairfield is 5 of 9 from behind the arc, including hitting four in a row early in the half.
This hot shooting lead to Fairfield racing out to a 26-17 lead midway through the first half. However, sloppy passes and fouls quickly let the Greyhounds back into the game. Loyola eventually took a 29-28 lead towards the end of the half before the Stags could rebound.
Then with the score tied 32-32 senior Cara Murphy hit a three with .02 seconds left on the clock giving the Stags a three point lead and something positive going into the half.
Junior Sabra Wrice currently leads the Stags in scoring with 8, but their balanced attack has Fairfield with six players with four or more points.
