With all apologies to those that subscribe to the whole 'The Mirror' hates field hockey theory, here is an update (and some upsetting news for my MAAC field hockey pool) from last night: the field hockey team dropped a heartbreaker to Virginia Commonwealth in overtime, 2-1. The Stags, according to reports, dominated the entire game (outshot VCU 8-1 in the first half), but were done in by a late goal in regulation.
That's 0-2 for the Stags in fall sports thus far, for those of you keeping score at home.
Field Hockey returns to action against Holy Cross this coming Saturday.
