After Fairfield's disasterous slump at the end of the season, the team only had one thing on its mind: a win. Not only would it provide a much needed lift on Senior Day, but it would also cure many of the Stags' mental woes by finishing the season over .500.
The Stags responded, defeating the St. John's Red Storm 13-6 at Lessing Field.
Senior Greg Downing scored two goals in the game, becoming the second person in school history to score 100 goals in his career.
