The ECAC named Stags goalie Mike Kruger `07 the Defensive Player of the Week after he helped Fairfield defeat Dartmouth on Saturday in New Hampshire. Kruger stopped 12 shots in the 11-8 victory, making five saves.
Kruger is 2-0 so far this season, facing 58 shots and recording 22 saves. His goals against average of 6.50 is the second best in the league.
Fairfield will look to move to 3-0 in its first ECAC game of the year, against Rutgers on Mar. 10 at home in Fairfield.
