Former Syracuse University goaltender Rob Mulligan was announced that he will have game day and practice responsibilities, primarily working with the Stags goalkeepers.
"I am excited to have Rob join our staff," said Spencer. "His skills in the crease and his experience at an elite level will be a benefit to our program."
Mulligan is a 2001 graduate of Syracuse, where he was a two-time All-America selection in goal and captain for two seasons. He is fifth on the Orange career saves list with 626, while his 224 saves in 1999 is the 10th best single-season effort in program history.
Fairfield begins its second season in the ECAC where they went 6-7 overall in 2005, going 4-3 in league play, to finish fifth. The Stags host Providence at 1 p.m. on February 24th.
