The Stags lead the Purple Eagles by seven at the half, 42-35. Junior guard Sabra Wrice leads Fairfield with 13 points on 5 of 8 shooting, including 3 of 4 from beyond the arc.
Fairfield is shooting 53% for the game while also hitting 55% from long distance.
The Stags are also outrebounding the Purple Eagles 17-13 in the first half.
However, Niagara has been shooting just as well hitting 5 out of 9 three's. The Purple Eagles are setting up their shooters very effectively with screens that allow their scorers to pop out open near the corner of the arc.
Baendu Lowenthal has also been impressive. She has been a force down low, pulling in seven rebounds while hitting two of her three shots for four points.
With a seven point lead, the Stags have put themselves in a good position to win the game. However, they are going to need to limit Niagara's sharpshooters, who can cut a large lead down quickly.
