Tough losses or were they?

What can the Stags take from their losses to top ranked opponents?
From the women's perspective, a 64-58 loss to Boston College is actually not terrible. Similar with their 73-57 victory over Harvard.
For the men, an overtime loss to Holy Cross 67-65, as well as a 73-60 loss to Georgetown are competitive scores. However, the 74-49 loss to UConn is incredibly important because this could be closer to what the Stags might be, or just a bad game. It will be interesting to see how it pans out.
In the grander scheme, a loss is a loss and keeping it "close" is as much a moral victory as anything else. True the overall schedules for the Stags is meaningless since their only NCAA chances come from a MAAC victory, but you can't go long stringing together losses.
